| WORKSHOP EFFECTIVE CUSTOMER CARE Overview This workshop focuses on the 'care' aspect of Customer Care, by identifying key important aspects of day-to-day communication. Many professionals communicate by phone or in person and sometimes are unaware of possible flaws in their communication techniques. This workshop supports the learner by helping them to identify possible flaws and encouraging better ways forward. Syllabus Outline Defining personal methods for effective Learning & Thinking. Examing the function and role of new knowledge in personal / professional life. Teaching Methods Some units will be delivered through a programme of questioning / reflecting and interactive discussions. Learners will be asked to question their personal learning and thinking strategies then annotate their ideas afterwhich they will engage in group discussions concerning their own personal thoughts and inquiry. Group critiques are important as learners have the opportunity to display and discuss their work with peers. This gives the learner the opportunity to share and also exchange techniques, ideas as well as motivate and encourage each other. Instructional Method Inquiry-based Learning is often used in Science education. In this situation, it is used, amongst other methods, to support learners towards discovering knowledge independently.
