At a glance... 5-STEP LEARNING PROGRAMME
Overview
The aims of this unit require the learner to examine a 5-step programme that is
easy to deploy in the classroom. This workshop is designed with the teacher in
mind and also encourages better communication between teacher and student.
Syllabus Outline
Examining and identifying a new learning technique and
its potential. Identifying new methods for deploying it.
Teaching Methods
Some units will be delivered through a programme of questioning / reflecting and
interactive discussions. Learners will be asked to question their personal learning
and thinking strategies then annotate their ideas afterwhich they will engage in group
discussions concerning their own personal thoughts and inquiry. Group critiques are
important as learners have the opportunity to display and discuss their work with peers.
This gives the learner the opportunity to share and also exchange techniques, ideas
as well as motivate and encourage each other.
Instructional Method
Inquiry-based Learning is often used in Science education. In this situation,
it is used, amongst other methods, to support learners towards discovering
knowledge independently. Fetht provides all necessary tools & materials to
support learners' inquiry.
